Presswork and Fabrication

At Birchills, our custom engineering capabilities are backed by decades of presswork expertise. From initial prototyping through to full-scale production, we deliver metal components to highly specific standards across a wide range of industries. Whether you need functional parts or precision-made aesthetic components, our team is equipped to manufacture in low, medium, or high volumes, adapting our tooling and methods to meet your exact specifications.

Our press capacity spans from 30 to 160 tonnes, utilising both mechanical and hydraulic systems to handle a wide variety of production demands. Our recent collaboration with Cheesman Products has given us even more engineering possibilities, particularly in tube bending. Our mandrel bending capabilities enable us to form intricate tube shapes with high accuracy and repeatability. This advanced technique allows us to expand our offering of custom-formed tubing.

Recent upgrades to our shearing capacity now allow us to cut up to 25mm, enabling rapid turnaround on even the most demanding jobs.
